Q 1: What does it cost to hire Brass Menagerie?
A: It all depends on the amount of time requested, logistics of the job, whether or not you will need the entire band or just a smaller version of the band (dinner/background music). To know for sure, please contact us and explain your needs. You can email or simply click on the “Send a Message” link at the top of this page. We’ll be happy to provide a quote within a day or two.

Q 2: What about the play list – can we request certain songs? Can we request songs not currently on the play list?
A: We’re more than happy to put together the exact list you want for your event, especially using our current selections. Regarding songs not currently on the list, we will learn up to three new arrangements specifically for your event, but not without a minimum of three months advance notice.

Q 3: Do we need a contract to hire the band, and who is responsible for providing it?
A: We prefer to have a contract of some kind in order to schedule an event, but we have no preference as far as who provides it. Ours is quite simple, but if you prefer to use your own, that’s fine.

Q 4: What if we book the band for a specific date and then find we have to cancel?
A: If we're given a 45-day notice, that's fine. Less than 45 days prior to the event, we would ask for a 20% cancellation fee to be paid. If the cancellation (regardless of time) is due to an unforeseen difficulty such as a health problem or other circumstance beyond your control, we would not ask for a cancellation fee.

Q 5: Does the band need anything special as far as set-up procedures and other facility considerations?
A: Yes. Because of the band’s physical size and sound system needs, there are some important minimums to consider. Please click HERE to learn more.

Q 6: Does Brass Menagerie do volunteer work?
A: Yes. One purpose for the band’s existence is to help with worthy causes whenever possible and promote music appreciation. To that extent, we have performed a number of times for groups and communities with similar goals. The cost will vary from free, if the logistics are easy, to a slight charge only to cover expenses. If you are such a group and want to know more, please contact the band.
