Stage Set-up

Physical Requirements

The stage area required to set up all instruments, sound equipment and lighting is approximately 12 feet deep by 20 feet long.  Adequate electrical service is necessary (minimum of (2) 20-amp circuits) within 50 feet of the stage.  Also, please consider ease of access to the stage area for set-up and take-down.

For indoor events, room size can be very important.  A good venue size is one with a ceiling height of at least 10-12 feet and a total open area of at least 5000 sq. feet (e.g. 50 x 100).

Many venues schedule multiple events for the same date, with minimum times allocated for turn-around.  Because of our equipment set-up, sound checks and testing, a minimum set-up time of three hours is preferred prior to your event. This means that the sound technician and other set-up people should have uninterrupted access to the stage area for at least that amount of time, more if possible.

Sound Set-up

For performances where sound is to be provided by someone other than the band, here is a fairly accurate rendition of our standard set-up.
